World famous British female terrorist 'White Widow' Samantha Lewthwaite who fought alongside ISIS or ISIL terrorists in Syria has been shot dead in Ukraine, a Russian news agency reported.
It had been claimed Lewthwaite was fighting for the Aidar battalion in Ukraine when she was gunned down by a Russian sniper. But battalion commander Serhiy Melnychuk said this was nonsense.
Samantha Louise Lewthwaite (born 5 December 1983), also known as Sherafiyah Lewthwaite or the White Widow, is a British woman who is one of the Western world's most wanted terrorism suspects. She was the widow of 7/7 London terrorist bomber Germaine Lindsay.
Lewthwaite was an alleged member of the Somalia-based radical Islamic militant group Al-Shabaab. She was accused of orchestrating grenade attacks at non-Muslim places of worship, and is believed to have been behind an attack on those watching football in a bar in Mombasa during Euro 2012.[9] In September 2013, there was speculation over her possible involvement in the Westgate shopping mall attack, although other reports cast doubt on this.
The world’s most wanted woman Samantha Lewthwaite has married a top commander of the al-Shabaab terror group, Hassan Maalim Ibrahim also known as Sheikh Hassan.
The British-born Muslim covert nicknamed the White Widow is believed to be one of the masterminds of the Westgate shopping mall attack in September last year. Lewthwaite is on the most wanted list of 200 countries including Kenya.
