American mastodon’s extinction was not caused by hunting, cold killed them, a latest study concludes,American mastodon was killed by ‘overchill’, researchers have concluded. Earlier there were studies suggesting that they were the victims of overkill by hunters.


A latest research says that the Carbon-14 dating back all the way to ice age megafauna cannot be very dependable as there are fears that it might have been contaminated.
