NDLEA Burns N800 Million Worth Of Drugs In Katsina

 The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Katsina has destroyed almost 7kg of illegal drugs, reportedly worth almost N800 million.

The command had in 2014 alone seized over 781,000 kg of drugs, arrested 571 people for drugrelated offences, including 17 females, with 94 of them having been convicted by the court and sentenced to various jail terms.

The state commandant of the agency, Mrs. Maryam Gambo said the drugs were made up of over 5,878 kg of cannabis and 916.2 kg of psychotic substances.
