What is Today?

National 12-hour Fresh Breath Day!
Bad-smelling breath isn't just an annoyance to the people around you; it can also indicate a health problem. Those foul-smelling, invisible vapors could indicate dry mouth, gum disease, or other ongoing illness. Check your breath during National 12-hour Fresh Breath Day, and make taking care of your heath a breath of fresh air. If your bad breath is caused by an illness, see a medical professional. Otherwise, to tame those toxic fumes: brush and floss, rinse your mouth, use a breath freshener or breth mint and see your dentist regularly.

National Ambrosia Day!
A variation of the traditional fruit salad, ambrosia has it’s own special day and it is celebrated annually on National Ambrosia Day.
National Ding-A-Ling Day!
National Ding-a-Ling Day is celebrated across the United States each year on December 12.
In 1972, Franky Hyle placed a free ad in Chase’s Calendar of Events with his PO Box Number in Melrose Park, IL stating that for $1 you can join the National Ding-A-Ling club.  The club, with 871 original members, would call friends and relatives they haven’t heard from in awhile every year on December 12.

Official Lost and Found Day!
The second Friday of each December the world turns its attention to Official Lost and Found Day.  And if it doesn’t, well it should.  It is on that day that we take a moment to recall the stuff we’ve lost and perhaps make an effort to find it.

Poinsettia Day!
Celebrate National Poinsettia Day! The poinsettia is a blossoming plant with beautiful red and green foliage, which makes it a very popular decoration during the holiday season. Although it is native to Mexico, 90% of all poinsettias are exported from the United States. The Aztecs considered poinsettias a symbol of purity because of their brilliant red color.
